Privacy Policy
Last updated June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Wotsim collects, why we collect it, and how we use, share and protect it when you or the travelers you serve use our connectivity services. Wotsim operates as an independent service and is not governed by the policies of any other brand or platform.
1. Who we are
1.1 Wotsim provides travel connectivity (eSIM and SIM data services) to travel businesses and the guests they serve. In this Policy, "Wotsim", "we" and "us" refer to the Wotsim service and the company operating it.
1.2 We act as a data controller for the account and business data we hold directly, and as a data processor where we handle guest data on behalf of a partner. For any privacy matter, contact us at info@wotsim.com.
2. The data we collect
- 2.1 Account & partner data: business name, contact name, email and phone, account credentials and role, and the activity carried out within your account.
- 2.2 Order & guest data: the plans purchased, destinations, order history and the delivery contact details (email and/or phone) used to send a guest their connectivity.
- 2.3 Service data: eSIM/SIM identifiers (such as ICCID), activation status and aggregate data-usage levels needed to operate the service, alerts and support.
- 2.4 Payment data: handled by our payment providers. We do not see or store full card numbers.
- 2.5 Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and basic analytics events generated when our websites or panels are used.
- 2.6 Identity data: only where a destination legally requires identity verification before a line can be activated.
3. Why we use it
- 3.1 To deliver, activate and operate connectivity for you and your guests (performance of contract).
- 3.2 To send essential service messages — delivery, installation instructions, usage alerts and top-up options.
- 3.3 To provide support, maintain security, and prevent fraud and abuse.
- 3.4 To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
- 3.5 To send marketing only where you have agreed; you may withdraw that consent at any time.
4. Legal bases
- 4.1 Contract: processing necessary to provide the service you or your guests requested.
- 4.2 Legitimate interests: securing the service, preventing abuse and improving reliability, balanced against your rights.
- 4.3 Legal obligation: retention and disclosure required by applicable law.
- 4.4 Consent: for optional marketing and any non-essential processing, freely withdrawable.
5. How we share data
- 5.1 With connectivity partners strictly to provision and operate a line.
- 5.2 With payment processors to handle transactions.
- 5.3 With communication providers used to deliver service messages.
- 5.4 With authorities where the law requires it.
5.5 We do not sell personal data.
6. International transfers
6.1 Because travel connectivity is global, data may be processed in countries other than your own. 6.2 Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — to protect it during transfer.
7. Retention
7.1 Order and billing records are kept for as long as commercial and tax law requires. 7.2 Service and technical data is kept only as long as needed for operation, security and support, after which it is deleted or anonymized.
8. Security
8.1 We protect data with encryption in transit, strict access controls and least-privilege practices. 8.2 No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, and we continuously work to keep your data safe. 8.3 If a breach ever materially affects your data, we will act promptly and notify you where the law requires.
9. Your rights
9.1 Subject to applicable law (including GDPR and Turkish KVKK where relevant), you may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction or portability, and you may object to certain processing or withdraw consent. 9.2 To exercise any of these, contact info@wotsim.com. 9.3 You may also raise a concern with your local data-protection authority.
10. Cookies & analytics
10.1 We use essential cookies to keep sessions and panels working, and limited analytics to understand and improve usage. 10.2 You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.
11. Children
Our services are intended for businesses and adult travelers and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age required to enter a binding contract in their country.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
13. Contact
